A safeguarding-first maths tutoring platform, built in Wales.
Why we built Mathos
Finding a tutor usually means taking a stranger's word for it — a classified ad, a WhatsApp number, lessons with no record of what happened. We didn't think parents should have to accept that.
Mathos was built so that every part of tutoring is accountable: every tutor is Enhanced DBS-checked and insured before they can take a booking, every lesson runs through Microsoft Teams, all communication stays on the platform, and parents get session notes and progress tracking after every lesson. Safeguarding isn't a page on our website — it's how the platform is designed.
What we focus on
We do one thing properly: GCSE Mathematics, with progress tracking aligned to the AQA, WJEC and Edexcel specifications. A-Levels, earlier key stages and other subjects are on the roadmap — but not before we've earned them.

Zoe is responsible for receiving, reviewing and acting on all safeguarding concerns, and for referrals to external agencies where necessary.
